Dual Boot Kali Linux v2018.2 With Windows 10:
Procedure 1:
At First ,we have to download Kali Linux latest version ISO file. Download any one of the bits based on your choice 32 bit or 64 bit,
Procedure 2:
After compeleting the download of Kali Linux the next procedure is to create a bootable USB. To do that we need Rufus – a utility that helps to create bootable USB flash drives.
Procedure 3:
To start making a bootable USB. First we need to connect our USB drive. As already said we need the minimum 4GB memory pen drive.
Let’s run the Rufus and follow procedures to create a bootable USB.
Procedure 4:
Now you get a screen like below image.Refer the image to and the steps of 1,2 and 3
Procedure 5:
At first step of (1) check that the USB drive is selected. Then click on the small CD drive icon below (2) and locate Kali Linux iso file that you downloaded from Kali official website. And finally, click “Start” and wait for the process to complete.
Procedure 6:
After process the completion, click on the close button to exit from the Rufus window and Kali Linux bootable USB drive process get completed.
Other than installing the Kali Linux with the Windows, you can also use this bootable USB to live boot Kali – means run Kali linux without any installion it but with some limited features and functions.
Procedure 7:
Next, we to have to create a separate partition for Kali Linux installation. To do open the Disk Management settings or Run “diskmgmt.msc” command in Windows.
To create a new partition of size about 15-20GB minimum we have to shrink an existing volume.
Procedure 8:
Make a restart of your system and enter the BIOS mode
Before installing keep in mind that we have to Disable Secure Boot and Fast Boot option in BIOS.
