The Chromecast is a device developed by Google, allowing you to connect your TV to the Internet. The Chromecast is of the size of a USB key and plugs directly into the HDMI port of your TV. From there, you can stream audio, video, and pictures from any device connected to the same WiFi network (i.e. your smartphone, tablet, desktop computer, or laptop).
How To Install and Configure the Chromecast
To install and configure your Chromecast, plug it into the HDMI port of your TV. Before doing this, you will need to connect it to a USB port to power it up. If you don’t have any free USB ports available, use the provided AC adapter.

Streaming Content to Your TV
To stream content to your TV using your Chromecast, you have several possible options depending on the type of content that you want to stream.
Display a Web Page or a Youtube Video on Your TV
To view a web or broadcast a YouTube video on your TV, you will need to install the Google Castextension for Google Chrome.
Once installed, a small icon will be available at the top-right of your Google Chrome browser. It allows you to stream (i.e. cast) the content displayed in your browser window directly on your TV.
Stream Video or Pictures
Plex Media Server allows you to turn your PC into a multimedia server. You can stream content — including movies, pictures, and music — stored on your PC to other devices.
