One of the most distinctive features of Fortnite is the collaborations. Epic Games has been working with popular movies, TV series, anime, and gaming franchises to bring new characters to the Battle Royale map. These collaborations are explained by the mysterious Zero Point, which connects different universes to Fortnite.

Among the collaborations, the Fortnite Rick and Morty collaboration has become a fan favorite among the player base. Fans of the animated sci-fi series cannot wait to see the characters, like Rick Sanchez and Morty Smith, enter the game with their own cosmetic items, like pickaxes, emotes, etc.

Over time, Epic Games has introduced more characters from the series. If you are eager to experience this hilarious collaboration, here is everything you need to know about Fortnite 2026: How to Obtain Rick and Morty Skins.

Overview of the Rick and Morty Fortnite Collaboration

The Fortnite x Rick and Morty crossover event originally started with Chapter 2 Season 7. During this event, Rick Sanchez landed on the island as part of the Imagined Order storyline for the invasion of the Last Reality.

Rick Sanchez was first introduced as a Battle Pass character. This means that the character had to be unlocked by completing the Chapter 2 Season 7 Battle Pass. The character’s introduction occurred on June 8, 2021. Since then, the character has become an extremely popular crossover character.

Later on, Epic Games decided to add more characters from the animated series to the game.

Later on, the Mecha Morty character was introduced to the Fortnite Item Shop on August 22, 2021. Along with Mecha Morty, other cosmetics were also introduced to the game. These cosmetics include pickaxes and back blings. Later on, Epic introduced Queen Summer and Mr. Meeseeks to the game.

For a while, it was thought that the Rick and Morty collab was over. However, almost five years later, Epic released Wave 3 of the collab, which dropped on March 7, 2026.

The new wave came with the Pickle Rick skin, among other characters.

Here is the complete list of Fortnite Rick and Morty collab cosmetics, along with how to obtain them.

Can Players Still Obtain the Rick Sanchez Skin?

One of the biggest questions surrounding this crossover is if it’s still possible to unlock Rick Sanchez in Fortnite.

The Rick Sanchez skin is a part of the Chapter 2 Season 7 Battle Pass.

This makes it a Battle Pass exclusive.

Because of this, it’s no longer possible to obtain this skin.

Epic Games has changed their policies regarding Battle Pass cosmetics from earlier seasons, though this only includes Battle Passes from Chapter 5 Season 4 onwards.

Rick Sanchez, however, is a much earlier release, so it’s still considered a permanent exclusive.

It’s worth noting, though, that Epic Games does release alternate versions of popular skins, so it’s still possible to play as different versions of Rick, such as Pickle Rick.

Fortnite Rick and Morty Wave 3 Skins: How to Get Them

The latest wave of collaborations has brought the Pickle Rick skin and the Rick Prime to the game. These items can be found in the Fortnite Item Shop.

Individuals can purchase the items or the bundle.

The Rick Prime & Pickle Rick Bundle consists of:

  • Pickle Rick Outfit – 1,500 V-Bucks
  • Rick Prime Outfit – 1,500 V-Bucks
  • Killbot Prime Back Bling – 300 V-Bucks
  • Pickle Rick Pack Back Bling – 300 V-Bucks
  • Rat Suit Pickle Blade Pickaxe – 800 V-Bucks
  • Rickbot Axe Pickaxe – 800 V-Bucks
  • Wheel of Better Things Emote – 300 V-Bucks

Bundles are usually priced cheaper than buying items individually.

How Long Will Rick and Morty Skins Stay in the Item Shop?

According to the latest rotation of shops, the Rick Prime and Pickle Rick skins will leave the Fortnite Item Shop on March 16, 2026, at 7 PM ET.

If you wish to get your hands on these skins, you should make sure to get them before they leave the Item Shop.

It is possible that Epic Games may re-release them later, but collaboration skins can take months to re-enter the game. Let us know in the comments, and check out our Chapter 7 Season 2 guide!
