Microsoft Windows provides an effortless method for sending messages to other computers on the local network, called Net Send.
Send a Message to Another PC on a Local Network
If you wish to send a message to another computer in your network, click Start > Run. Type cmd, and press Enter.
In the window that opens, type Net send followed by the name of the computer to which you wish to send the message. Next, enter the message. For example, the format should resemble “Net send PC01 can you read this message?”
