Google’s Chrome 74 beta is out for Windows, and it will lead to the introduction of Dark Mode on Windows devices.
Dark mode on Windows are often enabled by heading to the Settings menu and will be switched on automatically if the user has opted for a system-wide dark mode option.
Additionally, the mode will be disabled once the user has chosen the sunshine theme.
To recall, Google Chrome 73 led to Dark Mode being added to macOS.
In addition to this, Chrome 74 can bring in a media question, “prefer-reduced-motion” which will give lesser motions (such as flashing ads, fancy parallax effects, surprising reveal animations, auto-playing videos, and more) on display for users prone to motion sickness.
Selecting this selection can bring on a motion-less variant of a selected web site.
For people who don’t know, alternative operational systems like android and macOS already come with the option for users to reduce motions.
Furthermore, Chrome 74 can prevent downloads in sandbox iframes.
